On Saturday 6th July a group walked a long 15miles from Colne, Lancashire to Howarth, Yorkshire.
The team of walkers all sported ‘Friends of Serenity’ t-shirts and matching ribbons.
By UK standards it was a boiling hot day and was well into the 20+ degrees but the countryside had lots of lovely views to appreciate.
By the end of the walk everyone was a nice shade of scarlet from the heat and sun. They all sported rather funny tan lines and had very sore feet.
The hard work was celebrated with a nice cold drink at the finish line. We were delighted when a nice lady walked up to us and asked what we were about and before leaving gave us a £5.00 donation. Such a kind hearted lady.
The walk raised us a nice couple of hundred pound. Well done team!
