Preparing to start.

On Saturday 9th November 2013 a team of 5 particpated in a punishing 10k run with over 30 obstacles and over 70-100 pieces of kit.  The race took part around Manchester’s Sport City and the home of Manchester City’s Etihad football ground.

The team set off in their race in wave 3 at 10.00 a.m.  with the first obstacle being massive bales of hay and then the enormous stadium climb.

As the race progressed the team worked their way over many hurdles, climbing walls and cargo nets and not to forget two big dips and crossings in the canal.  Pretty cold to say the least!!!  The mudslide was great fun but who puts gravel at the bottom?  Sore to say the least.

Mud, water and woodchip!

The atmosphere was pretty great and the team had masses of support and encouragement from friends and family.

The team finished with many bruises but all in tact, in 1 hour and 27 minutes and thankfully they missed the hail storms and the heavens waited to open until they had completed the race.

Think the boys felt it!

The team raised a brilliant £600+ between them.  Thank you to the competitors for taking part, the supporters that backed the team and to those who sponsored the event.

2014 aims to be bigger and better!
