Rainbow Baby Boxes
Our newest project is creating Rainbow Boxes to give families following the birth of their Rainbow Babies. A rainbow baby is a baby born after a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal loss. We understand how challenging a Rainbow pregnancy can be and know that the birth of a Rainbow Baby may well be full of bittersweet moments.
The charity runs the East Lancs Rainbow Baby Journey group on Facebook, which is designed to lend a listening ear and support families through pregnancy after a previous loss. Our boxes are designed to congratulate families on the arrival of their Rainbow baby.
Our boxes are full of rainbow items including:
- a rainbow hat and blanket
- a rainbow vest
- an SD card so the family can use the hospital camera to take photos
- a rainbow keyring
- a rainbow hanger
- a wish bracelet
and more
Our first set of Rainbow boxes were delivered to the East Lancashire Women and Newborn Centre on the 30th April 2020 and we were delighted to hear that 3 boxes were given out on the first day! The boxes cost approximately £40 for the charity to make so please donate so that we can ensure that every family who has a Rainbow Baby is able to receive one of our boxes.
